About me and my practice

Are you sick of pretending you're OK? We've all done it, if we're honest, haven't we? It feels easier than explaining and not being understood. But are you really OK?

It is no fun feeling anxious and stressed all the time- thoughts going round & round, not sleeping, feeling sick, not being able to relax, feeling so miserable not knowing which way to turn. Does this sound like you?

My clients tell me I'm very down to earth and easy to talk to. That's so good to hear as I love my job! You do need to feel comfortable with me. After all, you'll be trusting me with your most difficult feelings. It can feel such a relief to talk and get things off your chest; most importantly, to feel heard.

Grieving is an incredibly lonely experience. It can feel so totally overwhelming and all consuming. I know it is very difficult for you to reach out, but if you do, I promise to offer you a safe space to feel heard and cared for. You deserve this right now. I will gently help you to work through the intense knot of feelings at your pace. You are in control. There's no pressure, only what's helpful and soothing. Let me do this for you.

Counselling is all about YOU. I won't pretend it will be easy, but it can be an amazing journey of exploration, self-discovery and of course healing. I will be with you all the way.

Experience

I have gained a fantastic wealth of experience working for St Barnabas Hospice, the YMCA, LCMS, Citizens Advice and Cruse. Today, I work in private practice. I have over 10 years' experience

I endeavour to comply with the rigorous standards that are required of me as an Accredited Member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. Initial Consultation

I offer all prospective clients a free telephone call of up to 30 minutes. This gives us a really good opportunity to break the ice,ask each other questions and decide whether we wish to work together.

Fees

I counsel ADULTS over 18. All sessions are 1 to 1 & last up to 50 mins.

Health Insurance £60 - A recognised provider for Bupa, WPA and Cigna. (T& Cs Apply)

Online or Telephone: £50

Thursday 13:00 to 17:00

If you have a particular requirement that is outside the above hours, I am more than willing to accommodate this if I am able. Please ask.
